Engineer-Field Services-CSM-UAE

Prime Objective:

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to be our primary service provider, driving excellence and resolving complex water and process challenges.

This role requires a professional with expertise in the process and water treatment industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the on-site performance of chemical treatment programs. This includes conducting on-site testing, troubleshooting and providing customer support across various applications for our major accounts in

the assigned geographic area. Strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication are essential.

The Field Service Engineer will report to the District Manager and cover the Abu Dhabi region. Candidates residing in the Ruwais or Mirfa areas are preferred.

 

Key Responsibilities:

As a Field Service Engineer, your responsibilities extend beyond routine tasks, encompassing a diverse range of activities crucial for maintaining optimal system performance and client satisfaction.

 On-site Operations:

○ Conduct chemical testing and program follow-up on-site.

○ Perform first-line troubleshooting for a variety of applications including Cooling, Boiler, Water & Waste, and Industrial process units (CDU, VDU, desalter, Ethylene cracker treatment).

○ Execute site surveys, as well as start-up and commissioning of dosing systems.

○ Diagnose on-site issues for larger repairs, coordinating with the technical team for resolution.

○ Conduct minor assembly operations as needed.

○ Perform pilot and field trials when required.

○ Regularly inspect customer sites and report findings.

 

● Reporting and Data Management:

○ Generate customer reports and process data using the company platform.

○ Monitor stock levels, ensure timely orders, and review chemical injection rates for all production chemicals under contract.

 

● Client Communication & Collaboration:

○ Maintain strong verbal and written communication with customers at various levels.

○ Ensure consistent communication with the Company’s Site Representative to ensure successful contract delivery.

○ Collaborate with the local team by participating in meetings to share best practices.

○ Support the Account Manager during business reviews.

 

● Continuous Improvement & Development:

○ Actively define and execute value-added ideas.

○ Follow and conduct technical training for operation engineers.

 

● Health, Safety, and Environment (EHS):

○ Comply with Veolia’s integrity and safety policies.

○ Report all work-related incidents and near misses to the Line Manager and EHS Manager.

○ Participate in required EHS training.

○ Achieve annual EHS goals assigned to the function.

Qualification, Skills & Experience: 

To be qualified for this role, candidates must possess a comprehensive understanding of Process and Water Treatment Chemicals Technology within the Oil &Gas and Petrochemical industries. The following qualifications are essential:

 

● Education: BSc in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.

● Experience: 4-7 years of experience in Process & Water Treatment Chemicals within the oil & gas industry.

● Language: Fluent in written and spoken English.

 

● Technical Skills:

○ Proficiency in data processing and reporting.

○ Basic computer knowledge with the ability to learn new software applications.

○ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

○ Driven by technical improvements, with a proactive approach to taking initiative.

 

● Interpersonal & Communication Skills:

○ Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

○ Strong presentation skills.

○ Service-oriented with an external focus.

○ Ability to work independently and as part of a team (team player).

 

● Organizational & Business Acumen:

○ Strong organizational skills.

○ Commercial understanding and interest.

○ High degree of flexibility.

 

● Mobility: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently to customer

sites.
