Splunk Enterprise Security Engineer Wanted

We're partnering with a world leading financial institution to hire an experienced Splunk Enterprise Security Engineer for a long term contract engagement based in The Randstad.

This is an opportunity to join a highly mature cyber security function responsible for protecting critical financial services infrastructure on a global scale. You'll work alongside some of the industry's leading cyber security professionals, helping to enhance detection capabilities, improve security monitoring, and optimise one of the organisation's most important security platforms.

Contract: 12 Months (extension likely)

Hybrid: 2 days per week onsite

What You'll Be Doing:

• Engineering and enhancing Splunk Enterprise Security solutions
• Developing and tuning correlation searches, alerts, and detection content
• Improving security monitoring and threat detection capabilities
• Building dashboards, reports, and operational visibility for SOC teams
• Supporting SIEM optimisation and platform improvements
• Working closely with Security Operations, Incident Response, and Threat Detection teams
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of cyber defence capabilities

What We're Looking For:

• Strong hands on experience with Splunk Enterprise Security (Splunk ES)
• Experience working within SIEM Engineering, Security Engineering, or Cyber Security Operations
• Background within a SOC environment (SOC Engineer, Senior SOC Analyst, Detection Engineer, Security Operations Engineer, etc.)
• Strong understanding of threat detection, monitoring, and incident response processes
• Experience creating use cases, correlation searches, alerts, and security content
• Ability to engage with technical and security stakeholders across the organisation
