Job description

  • Draft contracts between customers and our US counterpart company and between our US counterpart and manufacturers.
  • Receive and organize all documents related to each contract thoroughly and accurately for yearly audit.
  • Provide shipping documents to custom brokers for timely clearance of arriving products.
  • Check for mistakes on shipping documents and alert manufacturer to correct and alert customer if needed.
  • Assist in applying for letter of credit and timely submission of related documents to the banks.
  • Assist in issuing invoices to customers and notify accounting for collection in a timely manner if needed.
  • Maintains product flow between overseas manufacturers and customers in the United States.
  • Proactively monitors and tracks ETA’s on Ocean shipments and communicates delays to sales personnel, customers, brokers, suppliers, etc.
  • Effectively responding to internal and external customers’ inquiries; resolving any conflicts or problems that may arise.
  • Aid in implementation of operational best practices
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive operational, supplier and vendor information
  • Comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Provides weekly reports to management
  • Any additional duties related to improving the business and/ or the business processes
  • Reports to the Operation Manager and Vice President of Operations

Qualifications:

  • Must be fluent in English including speaking, reading and writing. Must have strong communication.
  • Must have strong organizational skills, good memory, detail oriented and ability to multi-task .
  • 1-2 years relevant experience in logistics is a plus. Experience with frozen seafood is a plus.
  • Experience with import and/or export and distribution of goods is preferred.
  • Strong desire to learn and can handle fast pace, large work volume with a high degree of accuracy
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), PDF, and Google Drive and willing to learn new systems
