Business Development Manager, Commercial Lines

Responsibilities:

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across general insurance product lines.
• Formulate and execute strategies to meet premium growth targets and expand market share.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with agents and corporate clients to support retention and new business acquisition.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to uncover growth opportunities and refine business strategies accordingly.
• Work closely with underwriting, claims, and operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Assess and underwrite commercial and industrial risks within delegated authority, following underwriting guidelines and treaty conditions; escalate and recommend cases that exceed authority limits.
• Prepare competitive, compliant quotations for agents and clients, and review renewal terms by adjusting premiums, coverage conditions, and policy wording where necessary. Coordinate or conduct risk surveys when required to support accurate underwriting decisions.

Requirements:

• Preferably with minimum 5 years working experience; Must have Certificate In General Insurance (CGI);
