Job description

We are seeking a Senior Sales Executive / Trader to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and driving sales growth in the petroleum and petrochemical markets.

Roles & Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic customer relationships, and expanding the Company's presence in the petroleum, marine fuels, and petrochemical markets.

Job Responsibilities

Sales & Trading

  • Market and promote the Company's petroleum products, marine fuels, and petrochemical products, including Methanol, MEG, MTBE, Gasoil, Fuel Oil, and Mogas.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while actively identifying and engaging new customers.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, prepare quotations, and conclude sales contracts with customers and counterparties.
  • Coordinate with operations and finance teams to ensure smooth execution and settlement of transactions.

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the Company's customer base and market presence.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, supply-demand dynamics, and competitor activities to identify trading opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, traders, brokers, and industry participants.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Monitor market risks, including price volatility, credit exposure, and foreign exchange fluctuations.
  • Ensure all trading activities comply with applicable regulations, company policies, and contractual obligations.
  • Conduct customer due diligence and support KYC requirements where necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in trading or sales within the petroleum, petrochemical, marine fuels, energy, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of petroleum and petrochemical products, market dynamics, and global supply chains.
  • Proven track record in trading and sales, with experience in business development, customer acquisition, and closing deals.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and business partners.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently in a fast-paced trading environment.
