Job description
The Villars Institute is a nonprofit foundation dedicated to accelerating the transition to a net zero economy and to restoring the health of the planet for all its inhabitants. It does so by collaborating with institutional partners in different domains from around the world. The Villars Institute brings together artists, experts, entrepreneurs, educators, and learners to collaborate online and for community activities in the alpine village of Villars-sur-Ollon in the Canton Vaud. We follow a hybrid working model that supports a blend of in-office, remote, and on-the-go working. The intern will work closely with the Operations Manager.

The Role
We are looking for an energetic and proactive Digital Operations Intern to support our operations, events, and organizational initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating structure, improving processes, and helping teams work more effectively. You will contribute to advancing the Institute’s mission by documenting and standardizing workflows, developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), supporting operational projects, coordinating events and activities, and helping implement tools and systems that enhance efficiency and organizational effectiveness.

- You are passionate about technology, AI, and process innovation, and comfortable coordinating diverse initiatives that advance the institute’s digital transformation goals.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adaptable to diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
- Proactive and solution-oriented, with a keen interest in leveraging AI tools and digital platforms to improve workflows and efficiency.
- Ability to work collaboratively while also independently driving projects to completion.
Requirements
Swiss nationality or Swiss working Permit.
Your Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating events, workshops, and community activities in Gland, Villars-sur-Ollon, and online, using digital tools to streamline logistics and engagement.
- Comprehensive management of project information, including files, databases, and key contacts
- Support the continuous improvement of administrative processes by identifying inefficiencies, streamlining workflows, and documenting best practices.
- Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and administrative documentation to ensure consistency, efficiency, and knowledge retention across the organization.
