What's the role?:

Our EMEA People Enablement team is part of a connected global People Enablement

organization that spans APAC and the Americas. We are a diverse, international team of 10 based from Eindhoven, and together we provide core HR operational support to more than 1700 employees across 30 countries in EMEA. Around 80% of our colleagues are expats, so you will work in a truly international environment every single day. We are on a mission to move from reactive to proactive, put employee experience at the centre of everything we do, and continuously improve the way we work.

Two big projects are driving that mission right now: the further development of our recently implemented OracleHCM solution, and a broader push for process automation and standardized documentation.

There is real opportunity here to shape how HR operations works at HERE.As our Sr HR Operations Generalist you are the first point of contact for employees and People

Leaders across EMEA, with a primary focus on France, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, and Finland. You bring senior judgment to complex cases, lead regional projects, and help your teammates grow.

  • Deliver day to day HR operational support at Tier 0, 1, and 2 level across EMEA, covering onboarding, employment agreements, illness management, leave, payroll administration, and employee relations.
  • Take a lead role in regional and global projects, including the continued rollout and optimization of OracleHCM and our process automation and documentation programme.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to People Leaders on complex or sensitive topics such as employee investigations, performance improvement coaching, and employment conditions, particularly in France.
  • Collaborate closely with Business HR, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Payroll, and Legal so employees experience seamless, joined up support.
  • Mentor junior team members, share your expertise on EMEA labour practices, and help build a stronger, more capable team.
  • Identify opportunities to improve our processes, use data to inform decisions, and help us move from measuring activity to driving real outcomes.

Who are you?:

We are looking for someone who possesses solid HR foundation, demonstrating a strong understanding of HR principles, technology, and a keen enthusiasm for employee and manager support.

This person is eager to take on mentorship of junior team members, and move onto a development path towards people management.* 8+ years of relevant experience in an HR shared services environment serving the EMEA region, with particular emphasis on HR operational support. Experience in supporting employees based in France and at least one of the following: the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Finland, Spain, and Italy.

  • In-depth knowledge of EMEA HR operations, labor laws, and best practices for the above mentioned locations, including employment agreements, employment procedures, illness management, and employee relations.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, supporting employees’ on their journey, and being an advisor to managers in their role as a people leader. Proficient in Tier 0, 1, and 2 level HR support.
  • Well-rounded proficiency in HR services, HRIS, policies, and processes, such as payroll administration, onboarding, and audit procedures.
  • Structured way of working, with a rigorous and detailed oriented approach.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, being curious and asking the right questions, have the ability to analyze situations, apply critical thinking, develop and implement a fitting solution to the problem.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguous situations and proactive in seeking information or support.
  • Change resilient, being flexible in your approach to work priorities and are able to navigate focus and priority changes in an easy manner.
  • Ethical credibility & trustworthiness.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
  • Proficient with Excel, HRIS/H
