This position reports to:

Business Controller __

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to collect, analyze, and interpret financial data. Each day, you will update budgets and forecasting models and identify trends and problems. You will also showcase your expertise by communicating insights and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and optimize business outcomes. The role Provides financial expertise to their assigned organization by compiling and analyzing various relevant metrics, identifying trends and problems, communicating information to relevant groups, and recommending actions to improve financial performance of a specific business.

The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Motion Business Area in Singapore. Main stakeholders are Business Controllers and Local Business Leaders in Singapore.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Supporting the analysis of business performance versus plan and proposing improvement actions.
  • Performing benchmarking of key performance indicators with industry competitors and similar businesses within ABB.
  • Working with management team to understand and analyze drivers of financial performance and identifying market trends.
  • Preparing financial modeling for various hypotheses and analyzing impact to the organization and validating the accuracy of financial data and business information and reporting through reconciliation and review of exceptions.
  • Supporting the preparation of financial reporting, business planning, budgeting and forecasting for the relevant organization.
  • Validating the accuracy of financial data and business information and reports through reconciliations and review exceptions.

Qualifications for the role

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Good financial acumen and business understanding
  • Ability to analyze business performance and manage stakeholders.
  • Experience in reconciling financial data, reviewing exceptions, and ensuring accuracy of business information and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Excel, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar), and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • High level of accuracy and rigor in financial analysis and reporting
  • Work rights in Singapore
