We're looking for a Project Manager with a strong business analyst streak to join the Data Platform team within AI Products at AISG — someone who can hold the rhythm of a complex international programme while translating partner needs into clear platform requirements. This hybrid role bridges business needs and technical solutions, manages project timelines, resources, and deliverables across multiple workstreams. This role calls for strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to coordinate several initiatives simultaneously.

This position will be hosted at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) under VP (Artificial Intelligence & Digital Economy)’s office and we welcome you to join our community.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Programme coordination and stakeholder management

  • Coordinate and chair regular working sessions with external partners, research collaborators, and community contributors across multiple time zones ensuring meetings are well-prepared, well-documented, and produce clear follow-ups.
  • Track action items, decisions, risks, and milestones across the programme; surface blockers proactively; and maintain a single source of truth for programme status, with regular updates to leadership and funders.

Requirements gathering and business analysis

  • Elicit, document, and validate data requirements from internal teams and external partners covering data types, formats, sourcing protocols, licensing, quality standards, and cultural/linguistic considerations.
  • Translate partner and community needs into structured requirements (user stories, data specifications, process flows) for engineering and data teams, and facilitate alignment where partners' needs, timelines, or constraints differ.

Partnerships, legal and procurement support

  • Support the partnerships team across the MOU lifecycle (drafting, version control, legal review, execution tracking) and prepare NDAs and collaboration agreements as needed.
  • Work with legal to develop and maintain platform policies (e.g. data sharing, consent, IP, acceptable use) and ensure these are reflected in partner-facing documentation.
  • Lead procurement workstreams in line with AISG's hosting institution policies and preparing documentation, onboarding vendors, and tracking purchase orders, deliverables, and payments.

Data analytics, metrics and reporting

  • Define, track, and report on programme KPIs (data contributions, partner engagement, platform usage, quality) in collaboration with the platform and partnerships teams.
  • Prepare metrics reports and KPI updates for leadership, funders, and stakeholders; build and maintain dashboards that give the team real-time visibility into programme health.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support decision-making such as partner performance reviews, dataset coverage gaps, or funding milestone readiness.

Requirements:

Some technical aptitude is expected — preferably hands-on experience using AI tools in your day-to-day work and you should be familiar enough with AI, data science, and modern data infrastructure to converse credibly with academics and technical experts.

The ideal candidate would have:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent; knowledge of AI or data science is highly desirable.
  • At least 3 years of experience conceptualising, implementing, or managing technology-related research projects or programmes, ideally with an international or mul
