Job Summary

Candidate is responsible for implementing,supporting, and optimizing the MariApps SmartPAL system, specializing in thePlanned Maintenance System (PMS). This role requires a practitioner with deepSmartPAL functional expertise and strong business analysis skills, workingalongside the project manager, ship management teams, and technology vendors toensure data integrity and deliver operational value.

Responsibilities

  • SmartPALImplementation & Support

Lead full-cycle implementation of theMariApps SmartPAL PMS module, covering scoping, configuration, data migration,UAT, and go-live. Provide ongoing technical and functional support,coordinating with MariApps and internal teams to resolve incidents, manageupgrades, and maintain system stability.

  • BusinessProcess Management

Analyze, document, and optimize plannedmaintenance and procurement/accounting workflows. Translate operationalprocesses into effective SmartPAL configurations and propose improvements toenhance efficiency.

  • Requirements& Solution Delivery

Engage ship management, technical, andfinance stakeholders to elicit and document business requirements. Producefunctional specifications and test cases; deploy configurations andenhancements; develop training materials and conduct end-user sessions.

  • Internal Stakeholder Management

Build andmaintain strong working relationships primarily with vessel technicalsuperintendents, and other application owners. Work with business stakeholdersto prioritize enhancement requests, support needs, and transformationinitiatives related to the SmartPAL ecosystem.

  • Vendor Management

Evaluatevendor deliverables against agreed service levels and drive resolution of openissues within contracted timelines.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, InformationSystems, Business Administration, and other relevant disciplines.
  • Minimum 6–10 years of hands-on experience inenterprise application implementation, business analysis, or IT projectmanagement, preferably within the maritime or ship management industry.
  • Mandatory : Demonstrated, hands-onexperience implementing and supporting the MariApps SmartPAL system or othersimilar Maritime ERP systems, with deep functional expertise in ship managementoperations for at least Planned Maintenance System (PMS) workflows.
  • Strong business analysis skills, includingrequirements elicitation, gap analysis, process mapping, functionalspecification writing, and UAT coordination.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP,Scrum Master, PRINCE2) or Business analyst certification (e.g., CBAP) is aplus.
  • Familiarity with data governance, applicationlifecycle management, and integration concepts (e.g., API-based integrations,data migration methodologies) relevant to maritime ERP environments.
  • Familiarity with workflow automation, AI/MLtechnologies, or business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) toenhance reporting and decision-making within the SmartPAL ecosystem will be aplus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of workingeffectively with cross-functional teams spanning shore-based management andvessel crews.
