Role Summary

The Smart Contract Engineer at Arn-Apex designs and operates the secure, scalable smart contract architecture that powers our GameFi ecosystem. You will be responsible for the core logic governing $FROZ tokens, NFT characters (Mons), and on-chain gaming mechanics like breeding and battle arenas. This role focuses on writing high-quality Solidity code, implementing upgradeable patterns, and ensuring the economic integrity of our decentralized marketplace and staking protocols across multiple EVM networks.

Responsibilities

  • Contract Development: Design and maintain the platform's core smart contracts, including ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155 standards for game assets.
  • Game Logic Implementation: Build robust on-chain systems for breeding, evolution, and battle mechanics that interact seamlessly with the frontend.
  • DeFi Infrastructure: Implement and optimize Staking pools, liquidity rewards, and the automated burning mechanism for the $FROZ utility token.
  • Multi-Chain Strategy: Manage deployments and contract lifecycles across Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Base using Hardhat.
  • Security & Auditing: Enforce best practices for smart contract security, utilizing OpenZeppelin Upgradeable patterns and preparing code for external audits.
  • Oracle Integration: Integrate Chainlink VRF for verifiable randomness in game outcomes and Chainlink Price Feeds for marketplace valuations.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the Frontend and Blockchain Infrastructure teams to ensure efficient data flow between the chain and the user interface.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 7+ years in software engineering with at least 3 years focused exclusively on Solidity and EVM-compatible smart contracts.
  • EVM Mastery: Deep understanding of Ethereum's architecture, gas optimization techniques, and common security vulnerabilities (e.g., reentrancy, overflow).
  • Standards Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155; familiarity with ERC-3643 is a plus.
  • Tooling Mastery: High proficiency in Hardhat, Ethers.js, and the OpenZeppelin suite (including Upgrades plugin).
  • Testing & Quality: Strong experience with Chai/Mocha for unit testing and automated security analysis tools like Slither or Mythril.
  • Communication: Ability to document complex on-chain logic and architecture for a global, remote-first engineering team.

Preferred Skills

  • Layer 2 Knowledge: Specific experience with scaling solutions like Arbitrum, Optimism, or Base.
  • Governance: Exposure to DAO structures and on-chain governance voting mechanisms.
  • Cross-Chain: Familiarity with cross-chain messaging protocols (e.g., CCIP, LayerZero).
