Lead Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Developer to support the design, development, implementation, and scaling of a SaaS platform. This role requires a versatile full-stack engineering professional who is comfortable working across frontend applications, backend services, cloud infrastructure, and system integrations.

The successful candidate will work closely with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable solutions while contributing to technical decision-making and mentoring team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions across the technology stack.
• Contribute to system architecture, technical design, and product development initiatives.
• Develop and maintain production-ready applications, services, and integrations.
• Support the evaluation and implementation of new technologies, tools, and engineering practices, including AI-enabled solutions and workflow automation.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to engineering team members.
• Participate in technical planning, product roadmap discussions, and solution reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of product objectives.
• Promote software engineering best practices, code quality standards, security considerations, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 6 years of relevant software development experience, preferably within SaaS environments or growing technology businesses.
• Strong experience with cloud infrastructure, including system scalability, performance optimisation, and reliability engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AWS is required. Experience with Kubernetes will be an advantage.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript (Node.js), React, and/or Next.js.
• Experience working with MongoDB and managing NoSQL database environments through different stages of product growth.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience building integrations and automation solutions using APIs.
• Practical experience leveraging AI tools to enhance software development productivity and quality.
• Experience developing AI-enabled product features, including workflow automation and intelligent application capabilities.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies, secure coding principles, and engineering best practices.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and technologies will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment and provide technical guidance to less experienced team members.
