Junior Process Engineer

Location: Sassenheim

Type: Temporary role, 12 months

Make an impact from day one

Are you ready to kickstart your career in process engineering and make a real impact on how things are made? At AkzoNobel, you will work on improving production processes, driving efficiency and bringing new ideas to life on site.

In this role, you are right in the middle of operations. You collaborate closely with the production team and take ownership of improvement projects that make a visible difference.

What you will do

As a Junior Process Engineer, you will focus on improving how we operate every day. You will:

Work on smart improvements that boost performance and efficiency

Support and track KPI improvement plans together with the Production Manager

Contribute to investment plans for production and equipment

Drive process studies and support project scoping and business cases

Play an active role in project execution, from commissioning to start-up and training

Help reduce waste and improve quality through continuous improvement initiatives

Investigate quality deviations and work with the team to solve them

What you bring

You are curious, hands-on and eager to learn. You enjoy working in a dynamic production environment and like turning data into action.

You also have:

A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field

A strong interest in manufacturing and process improvement

Analytical skills and the ability to spot opportunities

Good communication skills and a proactive mindset

Confidence working with data and standard tools like Excel
