Job description
Role Mission:
The DevOps & Application Engineer will administer current IAM and SSO application while ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of StarHub’s cloud-native platforms. They will manage day to day operations to address business needs and will be actively involved in future implementation of IAM platform.
Key Responsibilities
Support and provide maintain current IAM and SSO systems used.
Administrate platform and ensure system availability and robustness.
Manage application vendors to provide timely and reliable support to business operations.
Resolve incidents and track SLA at all levels.
Collaborate with vendor in change requests, defect fixing and security vulnerabilities remediation.
Work with cross domains teams and stakeholders in ensuring system security compliance.
Establish observability with Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and incident-response workflows (PagerDuty).
Author technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to team members.
Provide after office hour support as part of the operational needs on rotational basis.
Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science, IT, computer engineering fields or related fields or equivalent experience.
4+ years of combined experience in systems analysis, DevOps, Cloud or Operational support within telco environments.
Strong expertise with IAM fundamentals: SSO, MFA, RBAC, identity lifecycle and knowledge of authentication standards OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, LDAP
Implemented or supported IAM integrations for enterprise or digital platforms
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Strong SQL skills and knowledge of at least 1 programming language i.e. Java.
Solid understanding of AWS core services, IAM security, and cost-optimization practices.
Comfortable with Linux internals, networking fundamentals, and shell scripting.
Familiarity with Agile/DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and REST/SOAP APIs will be added advantage. Certification will be a plus.
Experience working within ITSM framework and in using enterprise tools such as Jira, Confluence, Service Now
Hands-On knowledge on Symantec SiteMinder, Symantec Directory
Understand identity-related threats and controls
Experience in implementing scripts or use tools to automate day to day tasks.
Experience supporting audits and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
