This role is part of the Group HR Enablement team, which builds and strengthens enterprise HR capabilities across Process Excellence, HR Technology, Reporting & Analytics, Engagement & Governance, and Operations. These capabilities underpin Prudential’s HR operating model and enable scalable, standardised, and high-value HR solutions across the Group.

The Workday HCM Solution Architect is responsible for leading the solution architecture, design, and optimisation of Workday HCM capabilities across Prudential Group and local business units. The role partners closely with the HR Solution Excellence Lead, Group HR Process Owners, Workday Functional Leads, and Group Technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust, scalable, and sustainable Workday solutions.

The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in the Workday HCM landscape, strong solutioning capability across end-to-end HR processes, and credible experience leading HR technology and transformation initiatives in complex, multi-country environments. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on delivery leadership to drive business value, adoption, and continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities

Workday Architecture & Strategy

  • Lead the end-to-end architecture and solution design for the enterprise Workday platform across global markets.
  • Define Workday architectural standards, governance frameworks, and best practices aligned to business and technology strategies.
  • Drive platform scalability, system optimization, automation, and future-state roadmap planning.
  • Provide strategic guidance on Workday capabilities, releases, enhancements, and emerging HR technology trends.
  • Assess business requirements and translate them into scalable and sustainable Workday solutions.

Platform Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead large-scale Workday implementations, enhancements, integrations, and transformation initiatives.
  • Oversee system configurations, tenant management, security models, and data architecture.
  • Ensure platform stability, performance, compliance, and operational excellence across all Workday modules.
  • Manage and coordinate with external vendors, system integrators, and offshore support teams.

Integration & Enterprise Ecosystem

  • Design and govern integrations between Workday and enterprise platforms including payroll, finance, identity management, recruiting, and reporting systems.
  • Provide oversight on Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, APIs, Prism, and middleware integrations.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects to align Workday architecture with broader technology landscapes and cloud strategies.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Establish robust governance, security, audit, and compliance controls within the Workday environment.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory and data privacy requirements including PDPA and other applicable global regulations.
  • Drive risk mitigation, disaster recovery planning, and platform resiliency initiatives.

Stakeholder & Team Leadership

  • Engage senior stakeholders and executive leadership to influence HR technology strategy and investment decisions.
  • Mentor and lead regional Workday functional and technical teams.
  • Foster strong collaboration across HR, IT, Security, Data, and Transformation functions.
  • Support budgeting, vendor governance, and workforce planning activities for the Workday function.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology
