Job description

  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Accounting Standards (IAS) .
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all accounting records and General Ledger entries.
  • Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with both internal and external auditors.
  • Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and perform variance analysis to support business planning.
  • Prepare management reports and financial analyses to help drive business performance and decision-making.
  • Monitor profitability, cash flow, income, and expenses across the business.
  • Review bank reconciliations, financial reports, tax reports, and accounting documentation.
  • Oversee payment approvals and maintain strong financial controls.
  • Coordinate with banks, suppliers, customers, and regulatory authorities on financial matters.
  • Support the Group CFO with banking activities and local and international investment-related transactions.
  • Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to the accounting team while promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and statutory requirements.

Requirements

  • MBA in Finance, Financial Accounting Management, Commerce, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in managing or supervising finance and accounting functions.
  • Previous experience in the financial services sector or similar industries is highly preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CA will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, auditing, taxation, cash flow management, and internal controls .
  • Hands-on experience with ERP and SAP accounting systems .
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word .
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform effectively under tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining financial accuracy and confidentiality.
