Job Description

We are seeking a Python Django Developer to maintain and improve our online portal for the DC Spine product. This portal enables instant, high-performance, and private connectivity between nearly 100 datacenters and growing. Customers can log in and manage everything through self-service, empowering them to tailor their connectivity needs independently.

This is a growth role that offers the opportunity to work alongside very experienced engineers and potentially specialize in a broad range of functions, including backend automation, infrastructure, and cloud technologies. You will be part of a team of infrastructure builders who design, build, and maintain vital infrastructure using state-of-the-art technology. Collaboration is with product management and technical network specialists to refine the user experience and streamline processes.

The environment has workloads deployed in Kubernetes, ensuring scalability, resilience, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance the Django-based online portal for DC Spine, ensuring high availability, performance, and an intuitive user experience.
  • Develop and optimize frontend components with a focus on responsiveness, accessibility, and modern UI/UX standards.
  • Collaborate with product management and technical network specialists to gather requirements, implement and improve features.
  • Contribute to backend automation and infrastructure improvements, including scripting, API development, and integration with third-party services.
  • Work within a Dockerized and Kubernetes-based environment, ensuring consistency across development, testing, and production.
  • Participate in CI/CD pipeline maintenance and optimization, including testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Document code, processes, and configurations to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing.

  • A gross monthly salary between €5.100 - €6.300, depending on your work experience, we offer a healthcare allowance and a performance bonus;

  • 29 vacation days per year based on a 40-hour work week, plus 8% holiday allowance.

Qualifications Required Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in Python and Django development, with a focus on frontend development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React or Vue.js).
  • Proficiency in Django, including templating, ORM, and RESTful API development.
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and optimize code.
  • Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
  • Interest in backend automation and infrastructure, with a willingness to learn and grow in these areas.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Kubernetes.
