Introduction

We are looking for Senior SRE in the team which manages internally hosted Kubernetes platform (also known as ICHP).

In this role you will be managing multiple Kubernetes clusters and building components that facilitate SRE.

For this role, knowledge of Azure Devops, Kubernetes (preferably Openshift) is mandatory.

The team

Our team is diverse mix of young and experienced engineers who manage existing Kubernetes clusters.

It is multinational team, and consists of 6 engineers working from Netherlands, Germany, Poland.

The team is responsible for Lifecycle management of ICHP's multiple clusters and working effectively as a unit in handling day to day operations and incidents.

At the same time, it needs to add scalability in operations as in future there will be many more clusters it will need to handle.

Roles and responsibilities

As Senior SRE you will be responsible for:

  • Get scope of team responsibilities
  • Understand ICHP's cluster landscape.
  • Understand ICHP's broader team structure and dependencies with other teams in Cloud Tribe
  • Manage Lifecycle of Kubernetes Clusters
  • Manage Incidents.
  • Work with team members to bring SRE practices in the team
  • Be part of Standby Roaster.
  • Own the documentation and arrange Demoes and Roadshows for ICHP consumers

Stand-by shifts

Business critical systems, such as client processes, payment processes, software applications and websites, require a 24/7 accessibility and availability of several (groups) of employees to act quickly during unforeseen circumstances, such as calamities or incidents. For these (groups) of employees ING have set up a Stand-by regulation. To compensate for the inconvenience of being available at this time, a Stand-by compensation is awarded.
