Possible Activities

As a Civil Engineering Engineer at TMC, you work on diverse projects within civil engineering. Depending on your experience, interests, and the type of assignment, your activities may include:

• Designing and calculating civil structures, such as bridges, viaducts, quay walls, or infrastructure works
• Developing designs into technical drawings and accompanying documentation (for example, in AutoCAD or Civil 3D)
• Carrying out cost estimations and assisting in the preparation of budgets
• Preparing and supervising projects in various phases (from initial design to execution)
• Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders within multidisciplinary project teams (such as contractors, municipalities, and consultancy firms)
• Identifying optimizations and contributing to sustainable and innovative solutions within projects
• Advising clients on design choices, feasibility, and execution

The specific activities you take on will be tailored to your knowledge level and ambitions. Together, we look at projects and organizations that suit your development and where you feel most at home.

What we expect from you

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Land and Water Management, Industrial Engineering and Management, Geography, Urban Planning & Environment, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable field
• 0 to 2 years of work experience, for example through internships, your graduation assignment, or a first job
• An affinity with infrastructure, constructions, or the energy sector
• Strong social and communication skills
• At least B2 level Dutch
• Flexibility and enthusiasm to work on various projects and for different clients
• A proactive attitude, sense of responsibility, and eagerness to learn
