Through TMC, you will work at a leading high-tech development and production environment in the Almelo region. Within this organization, complex modules and systems are developed and manufactured for international clients in sectors such as semiconductors, defense, energy, and high-tech equipment.

You will be part of an environment where engineering and production closely collaborate, continuously balancing between design, manufacturability, and performance. The systems you work on are technically demanding and require a keen eye for detail, quality, and integration.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will focus on developing and improving mechanical modules that are part of larger high-tech systems. You will work in multidisciplinary teams with specialists in mechatronics, electronics, software, and production, ensuring designs are not only technically sound but also manufacturable and scalable.

What will you do

• Design and elaborate mechanical concepts and 3D models for complex modules and systems
• Analyze and calculate constructions (FEM, strength, rigidity, thermal behavior, and tolerances)
• Draft technical documentation such as drawings, specifications, and tolerance schemas
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as engineering, production, and supply chain to ensure designs are manufacturable
• Oversee prototypes, validation, and functionality and manufacturability testing
• Support the transition from design to production (industrialization)
• Identify and implement improvements at the design and process levels

What we expect from you

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
• Experience with 3D CAD (e.g., NX, Creo, or SolidWorks)
• Knowledge of mechanics, materials, tolerances, and construction principles
• Experience in a high-tech or production environment is a plus
• Easily switch between engineering and production Proactive and independent work attitude
• Minimum B2 level in Dutch
