Client Director Germany

The opportunity

The purpose of this role is to support the establishment and growth of a Client Solutions Practice across the Division. The role is responsible for developing a quality client pipeline, maintaining key client accounts, and facilitating sustainable profitable growth.

Your new role

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients across all business areas, focusing on building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with the Distribution team to drive client retention and ensure ongoing satisfaction.
  • Monitor and enhance client satisfaction, using annual Voice of Customer (VOC) surveys to measure and improve service quality.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for cross-selling and upselling, maximizing value for both clients and the organization.
  • Manage and prioritize top clients and large accounts, with criteria to be determined (such as minimum revenue and employee count), ensuring tailored solutions and dedicated support.
  • Manage the opportunity pipeline and business to increase density build and structure programme design for clients.
  • Engage with the Distribution and Client Engagement team for client acquisition.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory frameworks, and corporate policies.
  • Drive the design and maintenance of marketing and communication frameworks.
  • Develop a strong client engagement focus for existing and new clients.
  • Keep up to date with industry developments for continuous improvement.
  • Provide specialist advice on underwriting programmes and legislation.
  • Establish clear accountabilities and authority levels for direct reports to ensure goal delivery.

About you

  • Significant exposure to the insurance industry as a client manager either in insurance company or brokerage, with an ability to operate across all products.
  • Strong track record in managing strategic client relationships at senior Executive & leadership level, creating not only positive influence but clear value return to the business.
  • Significant contact network of client risk managers which provides the ability to influence & develop new opportunities.
