Your Purpose

As Performance and Optimization Manager, you will drive commercial performance across the fleet by transforming complex data into strategic insights and actionable recommendations.

Working closely with Deployment, Revenue Management, Commercial Planning and Finance teams, you will assess the commercial and financial effectiveness of itineraries and deployment strategies, identifying opportunities to maximize revenue, profitability and guest value.

Through advanced analytics and performance evaluation, you will support critical business decisions, uncover growth opportunities and contribute to the continuous optimization of MSC Cruises' commercial strategy in a dynamic and competitive global environment.

Your Impact

• Develop driver-based performance and economic models linking deployment and itinerary choices to revenue potential, operating costs, fuel and emissions, port costs, asset utilization and overall contribution.
• Monitor performance by ship, itinerary, deployment pattern, region and season, using consistent and governed KPIs.
• Identify performance gaps, root causes and quantified optimization opportunities, translating findings into actionable recommendations for deployment and itinerary decisions.
• Develop forward-looking indicators and early-warning mechanisms to identify profitability risks, capacity imbalances and optimization opportunities before they materialize.
• Support scenario evaluation and post-implementation reviews comparing expected vs. realized economic impact and identifying lessons for future deployment decisions.
• Partner with Finance and Revenue Management to ensure consistency of assumptions, metric definitions, attribution methodology and benefit validation.
• Benchmark itinerary and deployment performance across ships, regions and seasons, identifying scalable best practices and structural improvement opportunities.
• Maintain a quantified deployment optimization opportunity pipeline, tracking expected value, ownership, implementation and realized benefits.
• Decision rights: owns KPI definitions and analytical standards; recommends priorities and validates benefits with Finance.
• Core outputs: scorecard, opportunity pipeline, root-cause analyses, test plans, benchmarks and benefit tracking.
• Success measures: incremental revenue or margin, conversion and spend improvement, forecast accuracy, action closure and adoption.

Your Journey so far

• Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, Hospitality, Marketing or related field.
• Relevant commercial analytics, revenue management, onboard revenue, performance improvement or BI experience.
• Strong understanding of guest behavior, revenue drivers, conversion, yield and service profitability.
• Ability to turn analysis into interventions and validate financial impact; fluent English.

Your Essentials

• Advanced SQL, business intelligence, statistical analysis or comparable tools; Python advantageous.
