About Coherent In Switzerland The Coherent Corp. Zurich site is a key research and production hub for advanced photonics, materials technologies, and high-performance semiconductor lasers. Our teams develop and manufacture optoelectronic components and laser diodes for industrial applications, optical data transmission, life sciences, and high-precision technologies.

Location: Zurich, Switzerland (Onsite)

Shift Focus: Primarily Weekend-Based

Role Overview We are building a talent pool for Weekend Operators to support our semiconductor production operations in Zurich. This is an excellent opportunity for students or individuals seeking a long-term, part-time role alongside their studies or other commitments.

In this role, you will work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment , supporting the production of high-tech laser components. You will receive hands-on training and gain insight into advanced semiconductor manufacturing within an international company.

Working Schedule

• Primarily weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday)
• Two-shift system:

• Early shift: 06:00 – 14:30
• Late shift: 14:30 – 23:00

• Initial onboarding includes 5–10 days of training during weekday shifts
• Opportunity to take on additional shifts during semester breaks or peak periods

Your Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor semiconductor production equipment within a cleanroom environment
• Perform process control and inspections using measurement tools and microscopes
• Execute precise manufacturing tasks according to written work instructions
• Record and track production activities in ERP systems
• Ensure high quality standards through careful and accurate work

Your Profile

• Student or candidate with a strong interest in technology or manufacturing
• High level of manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Reliable, focused, and able to maintain concentration over extended periods
• Structured and quality-oriented working style
• Good German skills (spoken and written); basic English is an advantage
