About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded

Finance Manager

to join a growing UAE-based engineering and technology company operating across the

energy, power generation, industrial and professional services sectors

.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting, effective cash-flow management and compliance with UAE regulatory and accounting requirements.

This is a hands-on role suited to a finance professional who can work closely with senior management and operational teams, while taking ownership of the day-to-day finance function and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and management accounts.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections and supplier payments.
• Oversee project financials, cost tracking, profitability and budget performance.
• Support management with financial analysis, business planning and commercial decision-making.
• Establish and maintain effective financial controls, policies and procedures.
• Ensure accurate accounting records and timely financial closing.
• Manage VAT compliance, tax-related matters and other UAE regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, consultants and other financial stakeholders.
• Review contracts, purchase orders, invoices and commercial documentation from a financial perspective.
• Monitor project costs, margins, commitments and variances and provide recommendations to management.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with applicable IFRS, UAE VAT regulations and company policies.
• Lead and develop the finance/accounting team as the business grows.
• Provide management with meaningful financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in

Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline

.

• Professional qualification such as

ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA or equivalent

is highly desirable.

• 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience

, preferably within the UAE.

• Previous experience in

engineering, construction, energy, industrial, technical services or project-based businesses

will be strongly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of

UAE VAT, corporate tax and financial reporting requirements

.

• Solid understanding of IFRS and financial controls.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management and management reporting.
• Experience managing project-based financials and cost controls.
• Strong knowledge of accounting/ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and interact confidently with senior management.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity and commercial awareness.

Preferred Candidate Profile
