Role Summary

APCO is looking for an AI Intern to join our Dubai office and support the development, testing, and application of AI-enabled tools across communications, research, and digital transformation work. This internship is designed for a curious and analytical individual who is interested in how artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and emerging technologies can help organizations better understand issues, audiences, and opportunities. The intern will work closely with the AI and Digital Transformation team to support practical AI use cases, data analysis, research, and experimentation in a fast-paced advisory environment.

Responsibilities

- Support the development, testing, and refinement of AI and natural language processing tools for research, analysis, and communications-related use cases.

- Assist with collecting, cleaning, organizing, and analyzing structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.

- Help identify patterns, insights, and opportunities that can support client work and internal innovation.

- Conduct research on emerging AI tools, digital transformation trends, and relevant applications across communications, public affairs, and advisory work.

- Support the preparation of presentations, summaries, reports, and visual outputs that communicate technical insights in a clear and practical way.

- Collaborate with team members to test AI models, evaluate outputs, and document findings, recommendations, and potential improvements.

- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing by tracking new technologies, tools, and use cases relevant to APCO’s work.

Requirements

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in computer science, computer engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, or a related field.

- Strong interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, and digital transformation.

- Working knowledge of Python and familiarity with common data analysis or machine learning libraries is preferred.

- Ability to work with data, conduct research, and communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Curious, proactive, and comfortable experimenting with new tools and technologies.

- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and willingness to learn in a collaborative environment.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.

- Available to join as an intern in APCO’s Dubai office.
