Envirmintal Engineer

Job Purpose

To provide technical and administrative support to the Environmental Engineering team in implementing environmental regulations, assisting with impact assessments, managing waste and natural resources, and ensuring company compliance with local and international environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Sampling & Monitoring: Assist in collecting air, water, and soil samples, and support the analysis of preliminary environmental data under senior supervision.
• Compliance & Reporting: Help prepare periodic environmental compliance reports in accordance with local regulations and environmental standards.
• Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA): Contribute to data gathering and research required for Environmental Impact Assessment studies on new projects.
• Waste Management: Support the coordination of waste segregation, recycling programs, and the safe disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• Site Inspections: Conduct routine field inspections across work sites to identify potential environmental hazards and propose initial corrective actions.
• Environmental Awareness: Assist in preparing and delivering sustainability workshops and environmental awareness campaigns for staff.
• Documentation: Maintain, update, and archive environmental records, logs, and databases systematically.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering (Environmental Track), or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience: Fresh Graduate (0–1 year of experience). Summer internship or co-op training in an environmental role is a plus.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
• Technical Skills:
• Basic knowledge of engineering software such as AutoCAD or GIS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Foundational understanding of local environmental laws and standards (e.g., ISO 14001 principles).
• Soft Skills:

• Eagerness to learn, adapt, and develop professionally.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Readiness for fieldwork and periodic site visits.
