In order to support Airbus we are looking for a

Research and Technology Composite Engineer (d/f/m)

An open position for a Composite Engineer has arisen within the Composite Technology team for Central Manufacturing Engineering inside Airbus Aerostructures in Stade. This transnational  team is maturing new technologies in R&T in order to secure, improve, and ramp up both legacy and future aircraft programs.

With its 2,500 employees, the Stade plant is a constantly growing producer of complex CFRP components. All vertical stabilizers for Airbus commercial aircraft, the A400M and various individual parts from the Airbus programs come from Stade. Your tasks and responsibilities

To identify the needs from the customer (plants, new programs) and deliver solutions through the set-up of R&T projects in transnational context.

To support & validate developments with Experts, Industrial and Digital Architects.

To develop & implement improvements to Composite processes & Technologies.

To plan and perform physical trials and developments to enable maturation and validation of processes, materials and technologies , including robust data capture and analysis.

To collaborate with (and manage) partners such as Technological centres or suppliers for new developments

Desired skills and qualifications

Bachelor’s degree for materials, manufacturing systems or similar 

First experience in managing trials in shopfloor environment, composite manufacturing process and project management 

Fluent English and German skills

Highly motivated and engaged, very high attitude for working independently and open minded for new developments

Being creative and passion for working in a transnational technical environment

Interest to work technically on a product and a process
