Position: 3D Technician

Type: In-office, 5 days a week (hybrid work is not possible)

Job Overview:

The 3D Technician will provide critical technical support across the project, procurement, and construction & assembly phases of two offshore oil platforms in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The role requires proficiency in advanced CAE 3D tools and project visualization software to ensure seamless integration between engineering design and field execution.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

Engineering Support: Generate and maintain comprehensive tool lists and 3D models using AVEVA E3D CAE platform, ensuring consistency with engineering standards (Digital Engineering technical specification)

Model Management: Create, validate, and export 3D models in AVEVA E3D.

Data Integration & Visualization: Manipulate and enhance Navisworks models by incorporating real-time execution tracking data, including construction status, SSOPs, work progress, and quality information

Visual Communication: Apply standardized color-coding schemes to Navisworks models to represent construction progress, status types (pipes, structures, electrical, supply status, etc.), and compliance information

Construction & Assembly Tracking: Support on-site teams by providing updated 3D model visualizations reflecting physical progress, material placement, and equipment status

Documentation & Deliverables: Generate eventually 3D visualization files (.nwd format) with current execution status, updated model views (desktop and mobile), and ensure compliance with deliverable schedules defined in the integrated management system

Tool Proficiency: Advanced use of AVEVA E3D (CAE 3D), Navisworks Manage, AVEVA DIAGRAMS (as needed).

Required Technical Environment Integration:

Eventually generate Navisworks 3D model updates with execution status and progress tracking,

Generate lists by queries by CAE 3D tool,

Real-time synchronization with supply chain management and manufacturing/construction/assembly control tools,

Data correlation between CAE 3D, 2D engineering databases, commissioning information, and field execution records,

Support for multiple disciplines (piping, structures, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC, telecom, etc.)
