Cyber Simulation Exercises Scenario Developer - Riyadh

Contract Duration: 1 Year - with potential extension

Role Summary

We are seeking a Cyber Simulation Exercises Scenario Developer to design, develop, and deliver realistic cybersecurity simulation exercises, including Threat Hunting Events, Live Fire Exercises, and Capture the Flag (CTF) scenarios. The role involves creating engaging cyber range scenarios, developing exercise injects and artifacts, building supporting lab environments, and measuring participant performance to enhance organizational cyber readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop end-to-end cyber simulation exercises aligned with cybersecurity capability-building objectives.
  • Create realistic scenarios, exercise injects, training materials, and supporting artifacts such as emails, logs, alerts, and threat intelligence reports.
  • Build, configure, and maintain cyber range lab environments, including networks, servers, endpoints, and security tools.
  • Orchestrate exercise execution through automated and event-driven injects, ensuring realistic participant engagement.
  • Support exercise delivery, troubleshooting, facilitation, and performance assessment.
  • Develop KPIs, scoring models, and post-exercise reporting to drive continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience developing cybersecurity simulation exercises on cyber range platforms.
  • Strong understanding of incident response, cyber attack techniques, and defensive security controls.
  • Experience building and managing virtualized or cloud-based lab environments.
  • Knowledge of Windows/Linux administration, Active Directory, networking, SIEM, EDR, and security monitoring technologies.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting.
