m2r Education are recruiting on behalf of an ultra-high-net-worth family in Saudi Arabia who are seeking a highly experienced Male English Literature and Language Tutor to deliver one-to-one tuition at KS3, KS4 and KS5 level. This is a full-time, residential tutoring role based in Riyadh, with occasional domestic travel and potential for international travel, depending on the family’s schedule.

This opportunity is best suited to a UK-trained English teacher with a stable career history in leading UK or British international schools, and strong experience teaching Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel curricula.

Reporting to the Education Team Leader, you will be responsible for the planning, design and delivery of personalised English lessons, tailored to the individual student’s needs and learning style. Tuition will take place face-to-face within the family residence.

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (with travel as required)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality one-to-one English Literature and Language tuition across KS3 & KS4 (KS5 experience is advantageous)
  • Develop engaging, age-appropriate lesson materials aligned with Cambridge / Pearson Edexcel curricula
  • Use creative, hands-on and experiential learning strategies to enhance engagement
  • Track progress through formative and summative assessment
  • Provide detailed academic feedback and clear development strategies
  • Maintain accurate records of progress, achievements and learning goals
  • Foster critical thinking, independence, resilience and a growth mindset
  • Identify and support any additional academic or learning needs

Candidate Requirements:

  • Specialism in English Literature and Language / Secondary Education (essential)
  • Proven experience teaching KS3 and KS4 (ideally KS5), in UK or British international schools
  • Strong experience delivering differentiated and personalised learning
  • Familiarity with UK and international curricula (Pearson Edexcel preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills with students and parents
  • Confident, organised and adaptable teaching approach
  • High level of professionalism and discretion
  • Ability to travel independently
  • Male candidates only (client requirement)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English or related subject (required)
  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (required)
  • 2 to 5 years’ full-time post-qualification teaching experience
  • Experience teaching the Pearson Edexcel curriculum in a UK or international setting
