Workday HCM Lead (Hands-On Configuration)

The Opportunity:

Take ownership of a critical Workday HCM landscape where your expertise will help shape and optimise how organisations manage their people processes.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Workday HCM Lead who combines strong functional leadership with hands-on configuration capability. You'll be trusted to work across Core HCM, Absence, and Time Tracking, partnering with stakeholders to deliver improvements, enhancements, and long-term value from the Workday platform.

Please note: This role requires professional German language skills.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support Workday HCM solutions across Core HCM, Absence, and Time Tracking.
• Perform hands-on Workday configuration, enhancements, and optimisation activities.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into Workday solutions.
• Configure and support business processes, security, reporting, and functional improvements.
• Provide expertise across Absence and Time Tracking functionality, including ongoing optimisation.
• Support testing, releases, change activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot functional issues and provide guidance on best-practice Workday solutions.
• Collaborate with technical and functional teams to deliver successful Workday outcomes.
• Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for Workday HCM processes.

About You:

• Strong hands-on experience with Workday HCM configuration.
• Proven experience across Core HCM, Absence, and Time Tracking.
• Previous experience acting as a Workday Lead, Senior Consultant, or Functional Lead.
• Strong understanding of Workday business processes, configuration, and optimisation.
• Experience supporting Workday implementations, enhancements, or AMS environments.
• Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and translate requirements into solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently manage complex functional challenges.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional German language skills are essential.
• Must be based in Germany.
• Comfortable working remotely, with hybrid options available.
