On a given day you might be testing, building automated tests, reviewing requirements, drafting test cases, coordinating with teams, or digging into a tricky bug.

This is a hands-on, senior role: we want someone mature and self-directed who takes ownership and helps raise the quality bar across the team.

Your role

  • Own the quality of the products, from reviewing requirements through to release;
  • Manual and exploratory testing, front- and back-end;

  • Taking ownership of QA across our B2B, B2C and E-commerce departments, each with its own sprints and releases;
  • Build and maintain automated tests to speed up;
  • Analysing quality risks and reporting them clearly to the product team;
  • Create clear test documentation (plans, cases, checklists, reports);
  • Working part-time (32 hours per week) or full-time (40 hours per week).

About the team

You'll join the QA team at Keesing Digital, the digital branch of Keesing Media Group, where we build and maintain our international e-commerce and online puzzle & games platforms (B2C and B2B). Our QA team works closely with our in-house developers and product owners/managers to delivery high-quality products.

As QA Engineer at Keesing Media Group in Amsterdam, you become part of a unique employer. That means ownership of and a say in your own career.

Additionally, we offer:

  • A salary, ranging from €3.000,- to €4.500,- (based on full-time and tailored to your level of experience and expertise);
  • Annual profit sharing;
  • A one-year contract with the intention of permanent employment based on mutual satisfaction;
  • Pension via Stichting Mediahuis Pensioenfonds (two thirds employer, one third employee);
  • A Personal Choice Budget (PKB) that you can use according to your own preferences;
  • An NS Business Card (100 percent employer coverage for commuting) or a travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometre;
  • We have a hybrid working structure with attention to a good work-life balance (50%-50% office-home). In addition, you receive a home office allowance of €2.35 per day;
  • A daily optional in-house lunch, a vitality programme and a puzzle subscription of your choice.

What you'll bring

  • Good written and verbal communications skills in English - ability to describe identified issues in a clear and concise manner;
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in web application testing
  • A methodical, scientific and analytical mindset;
  • Knowledgeable about SDLC and STLC;
  • Expert in test design techniques and their applicability on practice;

  • Experience with agile development methodologies, processes and tools;
