Location: Utrecht, Netherlands

Contract Duration: Initial 3 months

Experience: 4-6 years

On-site: 2-3 days per week

Language: Fluent Dutch required

We are looking for an experienced Modern Workplace Engineer to support and maintain a Microsoft-based digital workplace environment. You will work across Microsoft 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, Entra ID, Active Directory and Intune, helping ensure a secure and reliable end-user environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, manage and maintain a Microsoft 365 Modern Workplace environment.
• Support Microsoft applications including Outlook, Teams and OneDrive.
• Manage authentication, authorisation and access security.
• Operate and troubleshoot Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
• Manage Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID for users and devices.
• Configure and maintain policies relating to security, compliance and application access.
• Work with Group Policy Objects (GPOs) .
• Prepare, package and distribute workplace applications.
• Manage mobile devices including iPhones and iPads.
• Manage Microsoft Intune , including Mobile Device Management and application management.
• Implement device-security controls including security policies and remote wipe functionality.
• Support user access and permissions in line with Identity & Access Management processes.

Required Experience

• 4-6 years of relevant Modern Workplace / EUC engineering experience.
• Strong Microsoft 365 experience.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop .
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID .
• Experience with Microsoft Intune / MDM .
• Experience with application deployment and workplace management.
• Good understanding of identity, access and endpoint security.
• Fluent Dutch, both written and spoken.
• Able to work on-site in Utrecht 2-3 days per week.
