Designing complex mechanical systems and subsystems (enclosures, acoustic

structures, mounting solutions).

Translating functional and acoustic requirements into robust technical designs.

Balancing performance, manufacturability, cost, and scalability.

Defining and safeguarding design principles and technical standards.

(Senior) Developing modular and future-proof product architectures.

3.2 Prototyping, Validation and Iteration

Leading and executing prototype development (rapid prototyping, test setups).

Developing and analyzing testing methodologies (mechanical, thermal, vibration,

usability).

Interpreting test results and translating them into design improvements.

Validating integration with electronics and software.

3.3 Industrialization and Production

Translating designs into production-ready solutions (DFM / DFA).

Selecting and managing suppliers and manufacturing partners.

Assessing manufacturing techniques and material selection.

Creating and maintaining technical documentation (drawings, specifications, BOM).

Monitoring quality, cost, and lead times.

(Senior) Initiating and optimizing production processes and steering technical decisions

with suppliers.

3.4 Integration and Multidisciplinary Collaboration

Coordinating mechanical integration within the overall product.

Playing an active role in multidisciplinary development teams.

Aligning with software and hardware teams on interfaces and requirements.

Identifying system risks and dependencies.

3.5 Innovation and Continuous Development

Initiating technical improvements and new applications.

Exploring and applying new materials and manufacturing techniques.

Contributing to the further development of core technology.

(Senior) Acting as a technical sparring partner for management.

4. Job Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design Engineering,

Mechatronics or similar.

Knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or similar), manufacturing

techniques (CNC machining, injection molding, additive manufacturing), and materials

science. Knowledge of acoustics is a plus.

Mid-level: 3–6 years of experience in product development or R&D. Senior: 6+ years of

experience, including responsibility for full designs and/or systems. Experience in a

startup, scale-up, or deeptech environment is a strong plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, ability to make independent technical

decisions, hands-on mindset, stakeholder management skills, and strong communication

skills.

5. Competencies

Ownership, systems thinking, decisiveness, collaboration, innovative mindset, and

results-driven approach.

6. Context of the Role (Scale-up / Deeptech)

The role is performed in an environment characterized by ongoing transition from

technology development to productization, limited resources combined with high

technical complexity, rapidly changing priorities, and direct impact of individual

contributions.

7. Working Conditions and Additional Information

Working on innovative deeptech solutions with direct involvement in product

development from concept to market, offering a high level of autonomy and growth

opportunities.
