Details of the Division and Team

Global Credit Trading ("GCT") Asia Financing is a leading provider of financing solutions to institutional and corporate clients across Asia-Pacific. The business delivers a broad range of financing products including Corporate Lending, Sponsor Financing, Asset Backed Lending, Single Asset Financing, Fund Financing and bespoke Credit Solutions.

The candidate will be responsible for managing the balance sheet, funding, FX risks, and XVA economics of the Financing platform, while partnering closely with Origination, Structuring, Risk Management, Treasury, Finance, and Infrastructure teams to optimize returns and ensure efficient deployment of capital. In addition, the team supports the growth of the Fund Financing and Credit Solutions franchises through transaction underwriting, portfolio management, and execution activities

Your Key Responsibilities

Manage the funding, liquidity, and balance sheet requirements of the Asia Financing portfolio, ensuring efficient deployment of capital across business lines.

Oversee FX risk management for financing transactions, including hedging strategies, funding currency optimization and coordination with trading and treasury teams.

Conduct XVA analysis and profitability assessment for new and existing transactions, including evaluation of funding costs, capital consumption, and risk-adjusted returns.

Monitor portfolio-level funding, P&L, capital and regulatory metrics, identifying risks and optimization opportunities across the Financing business.

Partner with Origination, Structuring and Distribution teams during transaction underwriting to evaluate economics, funding implications, and transaction feasibility.

Support execution and ongoing management of Fund Financing and Credit Solutions transactions, including Subscription Facilities, NAV Facilities, issuance of Credit Linked Notes, Repacks and other Structured Credit solutions.

Your Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

5-8 years of experience within an investment bank or financial institution in a role focused on financing, derivatives, treasury, XVA, risk management or quantitative analysis.

Strong understanding of interest rate and foreign exchange markets, including practical experience managing and hedging funding, FX, and interest rate risks.

Strong understanding of XVA concepts including Funding Valuation Adjustment (FVA), Credit Valuation Adjustment (CVA), Capital Valuation Adjustment (KVA) and their impact on transaction economics and profitability.

Knowledge of derivatives products including FX forwards, FX swaps, cross-currency swaps, interest rate swaps, and credit derivatives.

Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with experience assessing funding costs, balance sheet usage, risk-adjusted returns, and portfolio profitability.

Familiarity with financing products such as Fund Financing, Subscription Line Facilities, NAV Facilities, Asset Backed Lending, Structured Credit or Leveraged Finance is advantageous but not essential.

Familiarity with structured credit products such as Credit Linked Notes, Repacks or Total Return Swaps are advantageous but not essential.

Ability to analyse complex financing structures and understand interactions between funding, collateral, market risk, credit risk, and capital consumption.

Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with data analytics, portfolio monitoring and risk reporting tools is preferred.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across Trading, Treasury, Finance, Risk Management, Structuring and Origination teams.

Highly motivated, intellectually curious, and detail-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic front-office environment.

Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
