Technician, Instrumentation

Major Responsibilities & Duties performed:

• Check the availability of all Test Equipment and Tools required to perform the jobs.

• To perform planned & routine jobs as per instructions from Foreman / Supervisor.

• Carry out for Field instrument calibration and Instrument Preventive Maintenance (PM) jobs & provide the calibration data to Foreman / Supervisor.

• To inform Foreman / Supervisor about any abnormality observed during PM / calibration.

• Handover the shift while ensuring that.

• All Test Equipment’s are in working condition.

• All Work permits are filed.

• During shift reliving time, inform all job status to next shift reliever.

• Availability of Common Tools.

• Ensure that standard practices are being followed and any deviation reported.

• Housekeeping is well controlled after completion of all jobs.

• Ensuring the availability of required tools.

• Inform concerned authorities for any abnormalities during the working shift duty.

• Required Training conducting for Subordinates (Foreman & Technician)

• CloseCo-ordination with Process and other Departments.

• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

• To understand and follow the organizational HS&E policies.

• To follow safety instructions related to their jobs.

• To report damaged PPE, unsafe machines of equipment to concern staff.

• To keep the provided PPEs in good & workable conditions.

• To avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment and welfare facilities.

• To report any accidents, near misses of hazardous conditions to concerned responsible.

• To attend safety training planned

• Having a right to say “NO” to any unsafe work.

Other Responsibilities:

• Keep in co-ordination with department & other department during plant Breakdowns & emergency situations.

• To follow DRIC plant safety guidelines strictly.
