Effective Field
- Design and implement automated workflows and data processing in valantic’s new Post Trade Automation product suite using valantic’s x-gen low-code/no-code automation platform
- Implement tests, ensure required coverage is achieved
- Develop interfaces and gateways to implement and integrate our product suite into customer environments
- Work with agile tools and apply agile best practices
- Apply architecture and design principles and patterns to ensure high quality, stability and security
- Contribute to an overall positive work culture and working environment
What distinguishes you
- Bachelors / master’s degree in physics, mathematics, engineering, economics or a similar degree
- Minimum 3-5 years hands-on experience as a system analyst for component-based software systems and their integration into existing platforms, preferably high-volume, scalable real-time systems
Experience In The Following Areas
- Technologies like XML, XSD, JSON, REST or SOAP
- Architectural concepts like queuing systems, event driven processing, enterprise message buses
- Protocols such as JMS, HTTP, SOAP, FTP
- Tools like SVN, Git, JIRA
- SQL database programming (Oracle, Postgres) or an understanding of no-SQL databases (MongoDB, Casandra, Dynamo DB)
- Shell/batch scripting under Unix/Linux
- Programming in Python, Java or Javascript
- The use of container and orchestration technology (Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift etc.)
- Domain knowledge of the inner workings of trading middle and back-office operations for securities, money markets or fixed income products (e.g. trade capture and enrichment, matching, confirmation, and allocation, clearing and settlement, reconciliations, exception management, risk calculations or corporate action processing)
- Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize flows for the best possible outcome
- Strong communication and coordination skills to work with team members and customers in different locations and across geographies
- A strong passion to service and work with customers
- Ability to work in English (must have) or German (optional)
