Glass Factory Supervisor / Glass Cutting Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled, responsible, and detail-oriented Glass Factory Supervisor / Glass Cutting Technician to oversee daily glass production activities and perform accurate glass cutting and processing. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a hands-on approach, and the ability to maintain high standards of product quality, safety, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily glass factory and production operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
• Supervise production staff and coordinate daily work assignments, production schedules, and targets.
• Measure, mark, cut, and process glass according to drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Operate and monitor glass cutting, grinding, drilling, edging, and other processing equipment.
• Inspect raw glass and finished products for dimensions, cracks, scratches, chips, defects, and overall quality.
• Set up and adjust glass cutting and processing machines according to production requirements.
• Identify and report equipment faults, material defects, production issues, and safety concerns.
• Perform basic cleaning, maintenance, and adjustments of glass processing equipment.
• Ensure correct glass types, thicknesses, sizes, quantities, and specifications are used for each order.
• Maintain accurate production records, cutting lists, quality inspection reports, and material usage records.
• Coordinate with sales, design, warehouse, installation, logistics, and other departments when required.
• Ensure glass, tools, machinery, and production areas are handled and maintained safely.
• Train and guide staff on glass handling, machine operation, quality standards, and workplace safety.
• Monitor production efficiency, material waste, product quality, and order completion schedules.
• Identify opportunities to improve cutting accuracy, production efficiency, product quality, and waste reduction.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Glass Cutting Technician, Glass Factory Supervisor, Glass Processing Operator, Production Supervisor, or similar role.
• Experience in glass manufacturing, processing, construction materials, glazing, or related industries would be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of glass cutting, measurement, handling, edging, drilling, and processing techniques.
• Ability to read basic technical drawings, measurements, cutting lists, and production specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when measuring and cutting glass.
• Hands-on experience operating glass cutting and processing machinery.
• Good troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical skills.
• Strong awareness of workplace safety and proper glass-handling procedures.
• Good communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate production staff effectively.
• Physically fit and comfortable lifting, handling, and moving glass materials safely.
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work in a fast-paced factory environment.
• Good computer skills and ability to maintain production records.
• Relevant technical, manufacturing, or glass-processing certification would be an advantage.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, or extended hours when required.
• Fluent English required; additional languages would be an advantage.
