Quality Assurance Quality Control Inspector

We are currently looking for an experienced QA/QC Inspector – Civil to join our construction team in Abu Dhabi.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that civil and building works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality standards, and project requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct inspections of ongoing civil and architectural works at site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and quality requirements.
• Carry out inspections and prepare Inspection Requests (IR/WIR) for completed works.
• Inspect civil works including concrete, reinforcement, formwork, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, screeding, tiling, flooring, painting, and other building works.
• Review materials delivered to site and coordinate Material Inspection Requests (MIRs).
• Ensure that materials and workmanship comply with approved project specifications and relevant standards.
• Review approved drawings, method statements, ITPs, checklists, and other quality documentation prior to commencement of works.
• Monitor site activities and identify quality issues, non-conformities, and defects at an early stage.
• Raise and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Conduct inspections in coordination with consultants, client representatives, subcontractors, and site engineers.
• Monitor testing activities and ensure required tests are carried out and properly documented.
• Maintain inspection records, quality documentation, checklists, test reports, and other QA/QC records.
• Assist in identifying recurring quality issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Support the QA/QC Engineer and QA/QC Manager in maintaining project quality standards.
• Ensure all inspection and testing activities are properly recorded and traceable.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Civil background is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in QA/QC inspection of civil/building construction works.
• Experience with a main contractor or construction company is highly preferred.
• Strong experience in building construction projects, including high-rise, residential and villas.
• Good knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, checklists, and inspection procedures.
• Hands-on experience with IR/WIR, MIR, NCR, RFI, ITP, method statements, and quality documentation.
• Good understanding of construction quality standards and inspection procedures.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, subcontractors, engineers, and site teams.

QUALIFICATION

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant QA/QC certifications will be an advantage.
