Procurement Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement & Supplier Management

• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers and vendors.
• Ensure continuous product availability from suppliers — not pricing alone — by tracking supplier lead times and capacity.
• Identify and onboard backup/alternate suppliers for critical items to eliminate single-source risk.
• Monitor and formally review supplier performance (price, quality, reliability, lead time).
• Raise, approve, and track purchase orders in line with budget and approval guidelines.
• Proactively flag market price movements, shortages, or supply risks to the Finance Director.
• Source procurement for the central kitchen (once operational) in coordination with the Head Chef and Beverage Development & QC.

2. Warehouse Management

• Directly manage the warehouse/store team — including the Store Keeper and the Warehouse Supervisor — to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure all products are stored correctly per specification (temperature, humidity, FIFO rotation, food-safety and hygiene standards).
• Ensure products are kept in good, sellable condition at all times; minimize spoilage, damage, and wastage.
• Maintain accurate, real-time stock records and lead regular physical stock counts / reconciliations.
• Enforce warehouse safety, cleanliness, and organizational standards.

3. Purchasing Compliance (ERP)

• Keep the ERP system updated at all times with complete and correct purchasing information.
• Process all Purchase Orders exclusively through the ERP — orders placed outside the system will not be accepted.

4. Reporting & Coordination

• Report directly to the General Manager, with a dotted line to the Finance Director, providing regular MIS on procurement spend and supplier performance.
• Coordinate closely with the Operations Manager (Jacob), the Head Chef, and Beverage Development & QC on purchasing needs.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Cost savings / avoidance from supplier negotiations.
• Supplier performance score (quality, reliability, lead time).
• Purchase order accuracy and ERP compliance (%).
• Supplier onboarding and contract renewal turnaround time.
• Inventory record accuracy (%) and wastage/spoilage rate (%) in warehouse.

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED13,000.00 per month
