Construction Manager – 11 kV Overhead Line

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with strong hands-on experience in the installation and construction of 11 kV overhead transmission/distribution lines. The candidate will be responsible for managing site construction activities, coordinating manpower and resources, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications, and delivering the project safely and within schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and supervise the construction and installation of 11 kV overhead lines.
• Manage all site activities related to pole erection, foundations, stringing, conductor installation, cross-arms, insulators, stays, earthing, and associated works.
• Review and interpret approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
• Plan manpower, equipment, materials, and other resources required for construction activities.
• Monitor daily construction progress and ensure work is completed according to the approved project schedule.
• Ensure all construction activities are carried out in accordance with applicable electrical standards, project specifications, and safety requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure proper quality control of installation works.
• Coordinate with the HSE team to maintain safe working conditions and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Identify construction issues, delays, and technical problems and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Coordinate inspection, testing, commissioning, and handover activities with the relevant teams.
• Ensure proper documentation of completed works, inspections, materials, and site records.
• Liaise with the client/consultant and resolve site-related technical and construction issues.
