Structural BIM Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Structural BIM Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating structural BIM models, developing company BIM standards and templates, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, manage, and maintain structural BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
• Create and improve company BIM templates, structural families, libraries, workflows, and modelling standards.
• Coordinate structural models with architectural, MEP, civil, and infrastructure disciplines.
• Perform clash detection using Navisworks and follow up on issue resolution.
• Review models for accuracy, constructability, coordination, and compliance with project requirements.
• Prepare structural drawings, schedules, details, and other BIM-based deliverables.
• Establish and monitor modelling procedures, naming conventions, shared coordinates, worksets, and file structures.
• Ensure compliance with the BIM Execution Plan, Employer’s Information Requirements, and applicable ISO 19650 principles.
• Manage model federation, model audits, quality checks, and BIM deliverable submissions.
• Support the preparation of BEPs, responsibility matrices, model production schedules, and BIM progress reports.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and training to BIM modellers and project team members.
• Support automation and continuous improvement of BIM workflows and productivity.
• Manage project information through Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360 or other Common Data Environments.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant BIM experience, including experience in a coordination role.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit Structure and Navisworks Manage.
• Strong knowledge of structural systems, including reinforced concrete and structural steel.
• Experience developing Revit templates, families, parameters, schedules, and BIM standards.
• Good understanding of BIM coordination, clash detection, LOD requirements, and model auditing.
• Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360 and ISO 19650 workflows.
• Ability to read and understand structural calculations, design drawings, and technical specifications.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and team-management skills.
• Previous UAE consultancy experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Dynamo, AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, or other BIM automation tools would be an advantage.

Preferred Candidate:

• Currently available in the UAE.
• Able to join immediately or within a short notice period.
• Capable of working independently and establishing effective BIM systems across the company.
