Advisor - Safety, Health & Environment (Site)

We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Advisor - Safety, Health & Environment (Site) to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind our commitment to maintaining a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace. You will serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for safety excellence, working collaboratively with site teams to embed a proactive safety culture while ensuring full compliance with UAE regulations and international best practices. Your analytical mindset, combined with your assertive approach to risk management, will help us continuously improve our operational safety performance and protect our most valuable asset—our people.

• Conduct comprehensive site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, safety violations, and opportunities for improvement, maintaining meticulous documentation of all findings

• Develop, implement, and monitor customized safety protocols, procedures, and programs tailored to site-specific operational requirements and risk profiles

• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses with transparency and thoroughness; document findings and recommend evidence-based corrective and preventive actions

• Deliver engaging safety training and awareness programs to site personnel at all organizational levels, fostering a culture of safety consciousness and accountability

• Ensure strict compliance with UAE occupational health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies through systematic monitoring and reporting

• Maintain organized and comprehensive safety documentation, records, and reports for regulatory review and internal performance analysis

• Collaborate effectively with site management and operational teams to integrate safety considerations into daily work activities and decision-making processes

• Analyze safety performance metrics and trends to identify emerging risks and develop targeted, innovative improvement initiatives

• Conduct thorough hazard assessments and risk evaluations for new projects, processes, equipment, and operational changes

• Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related concerns, providing empathetic support while remaining decisive in escalating critical issues to senior management

• Coordinate with external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, safety consultants, and environmental agencies, as needed

• Monitor and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment on site, promoting compliance through education and positive reinforcement

• Support the development and implementation of environmental sustainability initiatives aligned with organizational goals

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in safety, health, and environment roles with demonstrated site supervision and operational responsibilities

• Proven track record conducting safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations in construction, industrial, or similar operational environments

• Hands-on experience working in multicultural, site-based operational settings with diverse workforce management

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement site-specific safety programs and protocols

• Strong knowledge of UAE and GCC occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and compliance requirements
