Would you like to play a key role in the digital transformation of a leading and sustainable steel company? As an Application Consultant B within the Plan to Fulfil value stream, you connect business processes with IT solutions that support Tata Steel's manufacturing and fulfilment operations. You will work at the intersection of business, process improvement and technology, helping to shape the transition towards SAP S/4HANA while ensuring stable and reliable application support.

The Plan to Fulfil value stream covers the end-to-end planning, manufacturing, fulfilment and operational execution processes that are critical to Tata Steel's success. In this role, you translate operational requirements into scalable and future-proof IT solutions, ensuring business needs are understood, documented and successfully implemented.

As a business application consultant at Tata Steel...

• Analyse complex business processes and translate them into clear functional requirements and IT solutions.
• Work closely with Dutch-speaking stakeholders to understand operational challenges, priorities and improvement opportunities.
• Act as the connecting link between business, IT, architecture, functional management and delivery teams.
• Contribute to SAP S/4HANA-related improvements and digital transformation initiatives within the manufacturing domain.
• Support application lifecycle activities, including changes, releases, integrations and continuous improvements.
• Share your knowledge and coach colleagues in business processes, applications and stakeholder management.

• Monthly gross salary between €4.356,75 and €8.452,42 depending on experience and qualifications.

You are an analytical professional who enjoys solving complex business challenges and translating them into practical solutions. You are able to manage stakeholders effectively, identify underlying business requirements and communicate complex topics in a clear and understandable way. Working in multidisciplinary teams comes naturally to you, and you enjoy building strong relationships across both business and IT. Furthermore, you have:

• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
• Experience analysing and improving complex business processes.
• Strong stakeholder management experience within a complex organisation.
• Knowledge of industrial and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and translating business requirements into IT solutions.
• The ability to coach and mentor colleagues while driving continuous improvement.

It is a plus if you have experience with:

• Using AI (Copilot) to improve efficiency.
• Mainframe environments.
• Agile ways of working in multidisciplinary teams.
• Quality Assurance processes.
• Product Owner responsibilities.
• Industry standards and regulatory requirements.

You will become part of IT Applications & Transformation, one of the key pillars within Digital Technologies (DT) at Tata Steel Netherlands. Digital Technologies is responsible for delivering secure, scalable and future-proof digital solutions across the organisation, including applications, platforms, data and architecture.

Within the Plan to Fulfil value stream, you will work closely with business and IT colleagues to support and improve planning, manufacturing and fulfilment processes. Together, you ensure reliable application support, continuous process improvement and a future-ready IT landscape. In an environment where technology and industry come together, you will play an important role in Tata Steel's ongoing digital transformation.
