Around 80 percent of all microchips worldwide are produced using ZEISS technologies. As the centerpiece of every electronically controlled system, they have become an integral part of our everyday lives – whether in smartphones, smart homes or smart factories. ZEISS is a technology leader in the field of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. With high-precision lithography optics, photomask systems and process control solutions, ZEISS enables the production of ever smaller, increasingly powerful, and more energy-efficient microchips, and thus plays a pivotal role in the age of micro- and nanoelectronics. ​

Your role:

  • Independent design, implementation, and maintenance of IT platforms and AI services

  • Integration of modern AI and LLM technologies into existing enterprise landscapes

  • Building and evolution of MLOps, LLMOps, and platform engineering practices

  • Automation of deployment, operations, and governance processes

  • Ensuring scalability, availability, security, and compliance of the platform

  • Development and optimization of observability, monitoring, and cost-management solutions

  • Advising and supporting development teams in using the platform solutions

Your profile:

  • Completed studies in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable qualification

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining IT platforms

  • Solid knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes, and cloud computing

  • Good knowledge of modern CI/CD and GitOps methods

  • Strong experience in developing scripts and tools to automate deployments and configurations

  • Ideally knowledge of MLOps, LLMOps, and AI governance concepts; experience in building and operating AI, machine learning, or generative AI platforms

  • Comprehensive analytical and problem-solving abilities as well as team player attitude

  • Very good German and English skills
