🗂 We’re Hiring: Inventory Control Specialist
🕒 Employment Type: Full-Time
💼 Level: Mid-Level to Senior
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to oversee inventory accuracy, stock movements, and warehouse inventory processes. This role is responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting inventory audits, analyzing discrepancies, and working closely with warehouse, procurement, logistics, and operations teams to ensure efficient inventory management.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records across warehouses and storage locations.
• Track stock movements, receipts, transfers, adjustments, and inventory transactions.
• Conduct regular cycle counts, physical stock counts, and inventory audits.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causes of stock variances.
• Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to resolve inventory issues promptly.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify potential stock shortages, overstock, or slow-moving items.
• Maintain accurate documentation for inventory receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments.
• Support inventory forecasting and replenishment planning to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and recommend improvements to reduce losses and discrepancies.
• Prepare inventory reports, stock analysis, and performance metrics for management review.
• Ensure inventory handling processes comply with company policies and operational standards.
• Work closely with Procurement, Purchasing, Logistics, Warehouse, and Finance teams to improve inventory efficiency.
• Support the identification and management of obsolete, damaged, expired, or excess inventory.
• Maintain accurate inventory data within ERP, WMS, or inventory management systems.
✅ Requirements
• Proven experience in inventory control, stock management, warehouse operations, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and stock control procedures.
• Experience with inventory counting, reconciliation, and discrepancy investigation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to monitor multiple inventory locations and manage competing priorities.
• Good communication and coordination skills with warehouse and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in ERP, WMS, inventory management, or warehouse management systems is an advantage.
• Strong Excel or spreadsheet skills for inventory analysis and reporting.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Knowledge of inventory KPIs, stock accuracy, inventory turnover, and replenishment processes is preferred.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
