Job Title: Junior Finance Manager

Department: Finance & Accounts

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Job Summary

We are seeking an ambitious, analytical, and highly organized Junior Finance Manager to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between core accounting operations and strategic financial analysis. You will support day-to-day corporate financial management—including budgeting, cash flow tracking, financial compliance, This position offers an excellent growth trajectory for an experienced senior analyst or accountant ready to transition into full financial management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assist in preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Analyze budget-to-actual variances and deliver variance reports to senior leadership.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with departmental managers to gather data for annual budget preparation. Monitor forecast models and track financial performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Cash Flow Management: Supervise regular cash flow monitoring. Oversee working capital, monitor accounts receivable/payable aging schedules, and optimize collection workflows.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance: Ensure adherence to standard internal controls, corporate governance, and local financial regulations (e.g., VAT and corporate tax laws). Coordinate audit schedules for internal and external auditors.
  • Process Automation: Assist in driving digital transformation across the finance function. Leverage tools like SAP, Oracle, or Power BI to automate reporting metrics and streamline general ledger maintenance.
  • Team Mentorship: Supervise, review, and support the daily output of junior accounting clerks or finance interns.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a business-related field.
  • Professional Certification: Progress toward or completion of a recognized qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CFA) is highly advantageous.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of progressive financial accounting or analysis experience. Prior exposure to corporate auditing or a "Big 4" environment is preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, financial modeling).
  • Hands-on experience working with modern ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Familiarity with regional corporate taxation and international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to summarize complex financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders. Strong leadership potential and a collaborative mindset.
  • F&B Cost Control & Variance Analysis: Monitor and analyze Food & Beverage cost percentages (COGS). Cross-reference theoretical costs against actual consumption to isolate inventory variances, waste, and theft.
  • Menu Engineering & Profitability: Partner with Culinary and Operations teams to calculate recipe costs. Analyze menu item profitability to recommend pricing updates and margin optimizations.
  • Multi-Outlet Performance Tracking: Prepare monthly profit and loss (P&L) statements for individual restaurant outlets. Conduct weekly variance reports comparing actual sales and labor costs against budgets.
  • Working Capital & Inventory Control: Oversee the month-end physical stock-take process at all locations. Audit supplier invoices, manage vendor payable schedules, and optimize cash flow relative to credit terms.
  • POS & Systems Integration: Ensure seamless daily reconciliation between Point of Sale (POS) systems, delivery platforms (e.g., Talabat, Deliveroo), and the core accounting software.
  • Compliance & Auditing: Oversee internal control procedures regarding cash handling at outlets. Ensure absolute compliance with local tax regulations, including food/beverage municipal fees and VAT.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Management.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of finance or cost control experience strictly within the F&B, restaurant group, or hospitality sector.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, data models, and pivot tables for cost breakdowns).
  • Hands-on experience with F&B inventory and accounting systems (e.g., FMC, Oracle Hospitality/Symphony, Micros, Fourth, SAP, or QuickBooks).
  • Strong familiarity with multi-delivery platform reconciliations.
  • Core Competencies: Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of restaurant operations. Excellent communication skills to effectively challenge and support executive chefs and operations managers.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
