Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review and maintain integrated master schedules for dam O&M projects and related program activities.
  • Review contractors’ baseline schedules, detailed work programs, maintenance schedules and schedule updates.
  • Confirm that submitted schedules reflect contractual requirements, approved scope, key milestones and delivery priorities.
  • Establish work breakdown structures, activity coding, calendars, logical relationships, milestones and schedule-control procedures.
  • Integrate civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, instrumentation, inspection and maintenance activities into coordinated schedules.
  • Monitor progress against approved baseline and current schedules.
  • Measure actual progress using approved progress-measurement methods and supporting records.
  • Analyze planned-versus-actual performance, critical paths, float consumption and schedule trends.
  • Identify variances, emerging delays, sequencing conflicts, resource constraints and potential milestone impacts.
  • Prepare schedule forecasts and estimate future resource, equipment, material and delivery requirements.
  • Coordinate maintenance work schedules with operations teams, contractors, consultants and relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the scheduling of preventive, predictive, corrective and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate work windows, shutdowns, equipment isolation and return-to-service requirements with operational teams.
  • Maintain short-term, medium-term and long-term schedules, including weekly and monthly look-ahead plans.
  • Review contractors’ manpower and equipment deployment against planned requirements.
  • Assess the time impact of scope changes, variations, claims, delayed approvals and other project events.
  • Support delay analysis and provide factual schedule information for contractual and management reviews.
  • Recommend corrective actions, schedule-recovery measures and revised sequencing where required.
  • Review recovery schedules and monitor the implementation and effectiveness of approved recovery plans.
  • Maintain schedule assumptions, constraints, progress records, productivity data and supporting documentation.
  • Develop schedule dashboards, progress curves, milestone trackers and management-reporting tools.
  • Calculate and report planning and scheduling KPIs, including progress variance, milestone performance, schedule adherence and forecast completion.
  • Reconcile schedule information with SAP maintenance plans, work orders and other project-control systems.
  • Support risk reviews by identifying schedule risks, assessing potential impacts and monitoring mitigation actions.
  • Participate in progress meetings, planning workshops, schedule reviews and coordination sessions.
  • Work within a 60-month national program supporting the operation, maintenance, quality improvement and risk reduction of approximately 574 dams across Saudi Arabia.
  • Prepare clear daily, weekly, monthly, annual and technical reports as required by the assignment.
  • Coordinate with government stakeholders, consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Attend meetings, inspections and site visits anywhere in Saudi Arabia as required.
  • Comply with Saudi laws, applicable codes, Client procedures, quality requirements and occupational health and safety obligations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent discipline from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in planning and scheduling, including project-planning responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, updating and analyzing baseline, master, detailed and recovery schedules.
  • Strong practical capability in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office and SAP maintenance scheduling.
  • Experience measuring progress, analyzing schedule variance and preparing completion forecasts.
  • Knowledge of critical-path analysis, resource loading, schedule logic, progress curves and look-ahead planning.
  • Experience coordinating schedules across contractors, consultants, operations teams and multidisciplinary engineering functions.
  • Understanding of preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance planning.
  • Strong data-analysis, technical-reporting and stakeholder-coordination skills.
  • Relevant experience must be supported by verifiable employment records, project references, reports or studies when requested.
