Job description
RINA is currently recruiting for a Germany Junior Environmental Plan Approval Engineer to join its office in Germany within the North Europe Marine Division.
Mission This role support technical plan reviews and design assessments, assisting with the analysis of documentation and verification of compliance with client requirements and applicable standards. Contribute to identifying and helping resolve potential inconsistencies or conflicting requirements, working closely with the team and relevant technical stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities
- Support to carry out the approval of plans and certification for marine pollution prevention equipment and statutory plan, in compliance with Class Rules and Statutory Regulations, for new buildings, ships in service, and ship’s conversions
- Support for the elaboration of detailed marine engineering plan review, in compliance with applicable RINA rules, international conventions and contractual requirements.
- Support for the resolution of issues related to conflicting design requirements and material standards.
- Support direct day-to-day support and oversight of project elements, visit sites to take measurements.
- Support direct or indirect support to engineers or engineering teams by gathering data, submitting documentation to officials and other day-to-day duties.
- Help to prepare the project deliverables (technical reports, project performance documentations and engineering drawings, etc.)
- Collaborate to manage simple projects assigned applying project management concepts and techniques.
Education Master’s Degree in Naval Engineering
Qualifications
- Knowledge with environmental management systems (EMS), including document management, audits, and assessments.
- Knowledge to conduct technical analyses and environmental audits on marine operations and vessels.
- Knowledge of sustainable maritime practices and commitment to promoting environmental responsibility within the maritime industry.
