Job description

The Container Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating container equipment and related logistics activities within the assigned operational scope. The role ensures smooth equipment availability, accurate process execution, cost control and effective coordination with depots, terminals, transport providers and internal stakeholders.

Tasks:

  • Coordinate depot-related activities including stock monitoring, equipment tracking, contract administration and invoice verification
  • Coordinate terminal-related activities including stock monitoring, equipment tracking and invoice verification
  • Monitor and coordinate import and export equipment availability across assigned services
  • Equipment planning and operational allocation for import/export flows
  • Coordinate on-hire and off-hire processes for third-party equipment / Verification of SoC equipment
  • Calculate, monitor and validate demurrage and detention charges for inbound and outbound equipment
  • Organize empty container repositioning by truck, barge, feeder and own vessels, including rate negotiation, service coordination and booking execution
  • Review service invoices, verify cost accuracy and process purchase orders in accordance with internal procedures

Qualifications:

  • Experience in container logistics, transport operations, equipment control or a comparable operational environment
  • Experience in maintenance and repair is an advantage
  • Good understanding of depot, terminal and intermodal transport processes
  • Strong coordination skills and a structured, detail-oriented way of working
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English
